when
Our wedding is to be held on:
Saturday, October 12th, 2024
The ceremony will start promptly at 3:30pm.
Please arrive with enough time to park and walk to the ceremony. The ~200 yard walk will take between 5-15 minutes.
We recommend arriving by 3pm.
A cocktail hour will follow the ceremony. We expect the reception to start around 5:30pm and the party will go late into the night.
*We'll add a few more details as we finalize the plans. Check back in September for a more detailed schedule.
where
The ceremony and reception
will be held at the:
Wilderness Lodge
located at:
13448 Weeks Valley Rd
Wattsburg, PA 16442
The Wilderness Lodge holds a special place in our hearts. It's owned by Drew's step-family and he's been skiing there since the age of 8.
Ainsley and Drew met while he was living on the property in 2021 and many of our early dates were spent exploring the woods and trails around the lodge. We're excited to share this special place with our friends and family!
The ceremony will be held in the “schoolyard” - a clearing just inside the woodline (looking West from the lodge). It's roughly a 200 yard walk.
Accomodations
Accomodations are available at several area hotels. Here are the best options:

who
Ainsley
Born August 30th, 1995, Ainsley is a Michigander by birth and heart. She found herself in Erie after spending way too much money on her education, but now she's living her dream of being a badass doctor. She has often referred to herself as "a strong independent woman who don't need no man" yet somehow she's found a man. Her simple joys in life are shared by Drew: popcorn, chocolate (especially the dark variety), playing in dirt, long form podcasts/audiobooks on road trips and adventures. But don't worry friends, although not always shared, her simplest joy still remains #1: the weekend afternoon nap.
Drew
Born April 21st, 1993, Drew grew up in Ohio and came of age in Arizona. Avid adventurer who once had the goal of summiting 30 14'ers by the age of 30, yet somehow found himself putting roots in the flatlands of Erie after meeting some girl named Ainsley. He inherited his family's knack for ingenuity but never quite mastered the art of focusing on one project at a time. He thrives on beef, Mexican cuisine, and bourbon, and has a definite weakness for popcorn. He has a love for adventure and playing in dirt, but napping remains an elusive skill.
wear
Cocktail attire
Join us for an elegant celebration under the open sky! While our venue may be rustic, we're encouraging our guests to look dapper. Get ready to celebrate in style amidst the charm of the outdoors on an early October evening.
To put it simply, plan on wearing cocktail attire.
yet... Dress for the Weather
Even though we hope to have a beautiful outdoor wedding, it is autumn in Pennsylvania. Some rain in always possible and a crisp evening is likely. The walk from from the parking lot to the ceremony is ~200 yards through a field. If it's rained recently, the ground could be a bit muddy.
It's a good idea to bring a jacket to keep warm in the evening. We also recommend bringing along a pair of flats or comfortable shoes to make the walk easier. (Or just rock some smart-looking boots!)
The lodge will be open and we'll have a couple fires going in the evening, so we should be able to manage whatever Penn's fickle woods throws our way.
registry
We're excited to see everyone and know many of you may be traveling from several states away. For those who have asked, we've added a registry with a few gift ideas, but we have no expectation of gifts!
For those who prefer to donate to the honeymoon fund, we appreciate recommendations just as much as donations. We'll be visiting Norway in February for a week of nordic skiing. This will be the first time either of us have taken a transatlantic flight and we're excited to get to do it together!
